The Place d’Italie is home to a large shopping centre, Italie 2, which includes a large number of clothing and shoe shops, food shops, restaurants, etc.
The Chinese quarter, typical of all the big cities in the world, is full of Asian restaurants and typical supermarkets. In this district, the Chinese New Year is very famous and is celebrated each year with a parade worthy of the name. This district is found on the Avenue d’Ivry and the Avenue de Choisy.
The Butte aux Cailles is a very pleasant area to walk around, with several traditional bars, Parisian brasseries and other nice Parisian restaurants. The neighbourhood also has several works of street art – a real open-air museum – and gigantic frescoes on entire walls, but also pretty cobbled streets and a small village feel.
The local swimming pool is also a historical place, dating back to 1924. The Denfert-Rochereau metro stop (lines 4 and 6) and RER B station provide access to the whole of Paris. Indeed, line 4 serves several tourist sites:

The RER B is also very convenient to go further to Roissy-Charles de Gaulle airport in the north and Orly airport in the south. It will also drop you off more quickly at Châtelet, the Forum des Halles, or the Jardin du Luxembourg to enjoy the fresh air around the Senate. It will also take you directly to the Gare du Nord.
