A bit of History

La cité florale is a private housing estate in the historic district of Butte aux Cailles and Maison Blanche. It is located a few steps away -900 metres- from the Montsouris park and the Cité Universitaire (RER B), the Charléty stadium and the B55 hotel. This triangular district is located in the centre of rue Auguste Lançon, rue Boussingault and rue Brillat-Savarin.
This micro neighbourhood was created in 1928. Formerly used as a meadow and close to the Bièvre river, this area could not accommodate Haussmannian buildings, typical of Paris. The area was therefore populated with townhouses and urbanised in a different way while preserving a green environment. To get there, walking is the easiest way. Public transport such as the tramway (T3), at the Charléty stadium, the metro line 7 and the Maison Blanche metro station as well as the RER B and the Cité Universitaire station are the closest.
