The Biennale of Paris

Practical information

Experienced antique dealers and collectors have probably been waiting for this event since 16 September 2018. Meaning when the last edition of the Biennale closed its doors. Once again, this event, which launches the new cultural season and honours French luxury, takes place at the Grand Palais. This is the 31st edition, which is being held from 13 September to 17 September 2019. You have the opportunity to admire the countless works from 12 noon to 8 p.m.! But also on Saturdays in the evening until 11 p.m. Before that, the most privileged have the opportunity to attend the gala dinner on Wednesday. And possibly to mingle with those attending the opening the next day.

Crafts coming from the all around the world

What about the categories of exhibitors who will be marking this event over 5 days? From paintings to photography, from jewellery to Islamic art, from silverware to goldsmithing…there is something for everyone in the alleys of the Grand Palais! Annie Kevorkian (oriental antiques) and Carpenters Workshop in London, New York and Paris are among the headliners of this 31st edition.

We also invite you to focus on a creation that resembles a labyrinth of colourful screens, designed by Carlos Cruz-Diez – who died in 2919 – and proposed by the contemporary gallery La Patinoire Royale. This year, the spotlight is also on Bahrain, a country of honour invited by the Biennale, as a way of highlighting the crafts and heritage of this Gulf country. As for the scenography chosen, it aims to serve the excellence of the works on display, by taking the green colour of the site’s metal structures, combined with columns of light that do not obscure the impressive luminous dome.

The ideal hotel to attend

You can’t visit the alleys of the Grand Palais without thinking about reserving a prestigious pied Ă  terre in the capital. Our establishment becomes your hotel for the 2019 Biennale. It is a place dedicated to your well-being, since the comfort of each of our residents is our main concern. The enchanting setting of our indoor swimming pool reflects this environment, conducive to a more than welcome relaxation… Especially after restlessly strolling all day long through the Grand Palais. Of course, the B55 hotel also enjoys great accessibility.
